MECCA Winter 2008 ScheduleMonday, December 1, 6:30 p.m. The East Tennessee Children’s Choir and our new Da Capo Choir will sing for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Johnson City Public Library, North Roan Street, Johnson City, TN. Free admission.
Thursday, December 4, 6:30 p.m. The Johnson City and Greeneville Choristers will join in a program of Christmas music at Asbury United Methodist Church, Greeneville, TN. Admission by donation.
Tuesday, December 9, 7:30 p.m. The Highlands Youth Ensemble will sing “A Christmas Wassail” at Barter Theatre, Main Stage, Abingdon, VA. Admission by donation.
Saturday, December 13, 7:30 p.m. The East Tennessee Children’s Choir and our new Da Capo Choir sing in “A Classic Christmas” Concert with the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Chorale, at Seeger Chapel, Milligan College, Milligan, TN. Go to the JCSO website to order tickets. Monday, December 15, 6:00 p.m. The East Tennessee Children’s Choir and our new Da Capo Choir sing in the Winter Garden for the “Christmas Candlelight Tours” at Biltmore Estate To hear them sing, go to the Biltmore Estate website and order tickets during one of their performance times. Monday, December 15, _:__ p.m. A select group of Highlands Youth Ensemble singers will perform in the Annual Community Christmas Concert at the Barter.

Tuesday, December 16, 6:30 p.m. Select members of the Highlands Youth Ensemble will sing the roles of Mary and Joseph in Bristol’s “Journey’s End,” a La Posada re-enactment which travels down State Street searching for a room in an inn. Free admission.
Saturday, December 20, 3:00 p.m. MECCA Christmas Concert, “Wassailing ‘Round the World,” at Gray United Methodist Church, Gray, TN. Chorister Choirs from Bristol, Greeneville, Johnson City, and Kingsport will join forces with the Highlands Youth Ensemble, East Tennessee Children’s Choir and our newest choir, Da Capo, AND we will feature our “MECCA Men” too! Admission by donation.
