Andrea Cottrill
Emory Explorers Director
Andrea Cottrill has been teaching music in Virginia and Tennessee public and private schools for the last 25 years. Having directed choirs and musicals as well as taught general music, world music drumming and even handbells to students of all ages over the years, it’s clear that Mrs. Cottrill’s passion is to share the love of music with everyone that she meets! She is currently the music teacher at Abingdon Elementary School and is thrilled to be joining the Mountain Empire Children’s Choral Academy as the Emory Explorers Director.
Andrea is married to her best friend Keith and together they have two college aged daughters, Claire and Grace. In her free time Mrs. Cottrill loves to cook, take walks on the Creeper Trail with her husband, and experience lots of fun adventures as a family!
